911 Turbo S Land Down Under Sonderwunsch Commission to be offered through Exclusive Sale Process

Porsche Cars Australia has today announced details of the exclusive sale process for the 911 Turbo S Land Down Under, an extraordinary Sonderwunsch Commission created to celebrate 75 Years of Porsche in Australia.

Inspired by the Australian landscape and developed as a collaboration between Porsche Cars Australia, Porsche Sonderwunsch, Porsche Style and acclaimed artist Werner Bronkhorst, the Land Down Under 911 Turbo S represents a singular chapter in Porsche Australia's history.

As a collector’s piece with no equivalent anywhere in the world, the vehicle will be offered through an exclusive sealed bid sale process.

In recognition of Porsche’s 75-Year Australian milestone, Porsche Cars Australia will make a donation of $75,000 to Make-A-Wish Australia, helping to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses.

The 911 Turbo S Land Down Under is a one-off Sonderwunsch commission

"The Land Down Under project was conceived as a celebration of Australia's relationship with Porsche over the past 75 years," said Daniel Schmollinger, CEO and Managing Director, Porsche Cars Australia.

"There is a certain romance in knowing that the first Porsche sports cars arrived in Melbourne in early October 1951 and were unveiled to the Australian public on 1 November 1951. This extraordinary Land Down Under commission celebrates that history, and as we begin the process of finding its next custodian, our hope is that it will be owned and cherished in a way that honours both the vehicle itself and the remarkable Australian story it was created to tell."
